Office safety is a crucial aspect of worker health. Even in non-manufacturing organizations, the risk of injuries and health-related issues for employees is a major concern.
Almost all kinds of workplaces have office safety issues. Many of these are inbuilt into the workplace and inhere into them. While these are unavoidable, it is possible and necessary for organizations to take steps to identify the sources of danger to workers and mitigate their consequences. These are not too obvious at first and are quite difficult to detect and diagnose, making them all the more subtle.
Office safety is thus a very comprehensive area that needs specialized attention. Many organizations have a Safety Officer, who is responsible for ensuring office safety at all levels.
